WINE Magazine's Chenin Blanc Challenge 2011 was held this week, and the winners were announced yesterday. We are very pleased that Leopard's Leap 2010 Chenin Blanc was included in the top 12 Chenin Blancs. The judges singled it out for the price point and quality. The judges' tasting notes said the following: 'Unwooded. Lime and green apple on the nose. The palate shows great purity of fruit and vibrant acidity. Very persistent finish that is almost saline in its dryness. Drink now – 2013'. We are proud of this recognition for the brand and our winemaker, Eugene van Zyl.
