Join us and unwined on our patio with its beautiful views of the Franschhoek Valley or lounge in the charming and contemporary tasting room while sipping on a beautifully garnished wine cocktail, alternatively make your own Leopard’s Leap wine cocktail at home, guaranteed to add excitement to summer weekends and socialising!

Each Friday will see the introduction of a different designer pair served for the weekend. Chardonnay stays ever so elegant in a Margarita, Shiraz charms in a Spicy Surprise and Chenin Blanc becomes a sophisticated Martini, to name but a few.

The cocktail line-up includes:

Sauvignon Blanc Cooler

Chardonnay Margarita

Chenin Blanc Martini

Rosé Cosmopolitan

Spicy Shiraz Surprise

Cabernet Sauvignon Square

Lookout Red Glühwein

Lookout Semi-Sweet Digestif (or nightcap)

Lookout White Zest

These tantilising wine cocktails will be available on Fridays and Saturdays from 09:00 – 17:00 and on Sundays between 11:00 and 17:00.

Price: R20 per cocktail

If you want to add something special to your dinner party at home, get a bottle of Leopard’s Leap, mix your own wine cocktail and impress your friends! Try this recipe for your own Leopard’s Leap Lookout Red Glühwein, perfectly festive in a traditional way, but even better served chilled over crushed ice. Perfect for celebrating a Summer Christmas under the African sky!

 

Lookout Red Glühwein

Ingredients        

750 ml Leopard’s Leap Lookout Red

75 ml sugar

50 ml lemon juice

150 ml orange juice

Cinnamon stick

6 – 8 cloves

 

Garnish

Cinnamon sugar on rim of glass.

 

Method

Pour all ingredients into a saucepan. Heat mixture until nearly boiling, then strain into a warm bowl. Allow to cool down at room temperature and refrigerate.

 

Serving

Serve ice cold with crushed ice.
