Shop-Assistant

Leopard’s Leap Wines in the Franschhoek Valley is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Shop-Assistant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the store
  • Process transactions accurately using our POS system
  • Restock shelves and ensure merchandise displays are visually appealing
  • Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
  • Achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
  • Handle customer concerns or complaints

Junior Restaurant Manager

Leopard’s Leap Wines in the Franschhoek Valley requires a person with a positive, energetic and enthusiastic outlook and the ability to function well under pressure, to join the Restaurant team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • assist in overseeing daily operations
  • co-ordination of restaurant activities
  • dealing with guests’ inquiries
  • liaison with kitchen and marketing department
  • organising of functions and related gatherings
  • staff management
  • stock control
  • cashing up
  • ad hoc administrative duties

  • a qualification in hotel management, or related tertiary training
  • at least two years’ experience in a similar position

Hospitality Manager

La Motte Wine Estate and Leopard’s Leap Wines in the Franschhoek Valley are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hospitality Manager to oversee all aspects of our Hospitality operations.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a proven track record of leadership in the hospitality industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • overseeing the day-to-day operations of all hospitality departments (including Leopard’s Leap Wines, La Motte Bakery, and JAN Franschhoek)
  • staff management
  • develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and exceed service standards
  • recruit, train, and supervise hospitality staff to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service
  • collaborate with other departments to coordinate seamless guest experiences
  • compile and monitor annual budget
  • oversee cost control measures to maximise profitability
  • stay updated on industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement
  • ad hoc administrative duties

Barista / Bartender

Leopard’s Leap Wines in the Franschhoek Valley requires an energetic, positive person with excellent communication and guest relations skills to add to the culinary and wine offering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, teas and cocktails in accordance with standard recipes
  • Stock take
  • Placing orders with suppliers
  • Perform regular checks and basic maintenance on coffee machine to ensure it is functioning optimally
  • Clean work areas, utensils, and equipment regularly * stay up to date with the latest trends in the food and beverage industry and adapt techniques accordingly
  • Provide a memorable customer experience, ensuring satisfaction through prompt service and a friendly demeanour

  • 2 - 3 years’ proven experience as a Barista/Bartender
  • Professional barista training will count in applicant’s favour
  • Sound knowledge of wine
