Prego Steak Roll

Ingredients

500g Steak (thinly sliced if frying or whole to braai before slicing)
Olive oil and butter (if frying)
6 garlic cloves, crushed
Salt
One crack of black pepper
125 ml white wine
Peri peri to taste
Pinch of ground cumin

Method

Combine garlic, salt, pepper, white wine, piri piri and cumin for the marinade and and marinade meat in the mixture overnight.

Remove steak from marinade, but keep the marinade.

Grill steak over the coals or fry in a combination of the oil, butter and bay leave in a pan.

Add marinade to pan, boil and simmer until it thickens. 

Serve sliced steak and gravy on fresh or toasted Portuguese rolls and with beautiful glasses of Leopard's Leap Shiraz
