Food lovers wanting to fine-tune or expand their culinary skills are invited to take part in a programme of cooking classes conducted by Leopard’s Leap in-house chef Pieter de Jager and visiting local and international chefs. Staying seasonal and topical, the programme covers a wide spectrum of food types and cooking methods.
Classes are presented in the state-of-the-art and exceptionally well equipped Leopard’s Leap kitchen, accommodating 22 students per class. Each student has his/her own cooking station, with individual stove and utensils. Large-screen television sets give a clear picture of the chef’s instructions and techniques, while each student receives a printed recipe to apply the newly acquired cooking skills at home. Duration is approximately four hours per class.
Students have a choice of morning and evening classes. Morning classes are followed by a lunch, during which the dish that was demonstrated and prepared that morning is enjoyed by students. The same applies to evening classes, followed by dinner. Meals are complemented by Leopard’s Leap wines best suited to the food prepared, as selected by Leopard’s Leap Cellarmaster, Eugene van Zyl.
Customised cooking classes are arranged for special celebrations, family get-togethers and corporate Team-building events. A minimum of ten guests is required for customised cooking classes.
