Demi Chef de Partie
Leopard’s Leap in the Franschhoek Valley requires a person with a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic outlook and the ability to function well under pressure to join the Restaurant team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- assist senior Chefs to oversee and co-ordinate day-to-day running of sections
- prepare food according to specified menus, standards and in line with costing and portions
- assist with menu planning and creation of new dishes and SOP’s
- assist with orders and stock control
- assist in maintaining and improving upon budgeted food cost
- ensure strict hygiene protocols are followed at all times

- degree or diploma in culinary arts / formal chefs training
- at least two years’ experience as a Commis Chef / similar position
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Commis Chef
Leopard’s Leap in the Franschhoek Valley requires a person with a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic outlook and the ability to function well under pressure, to join the Restaurant team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- measuring meal ingredients for the Chefs
- preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
- preparing basic salads and sauces as directed by the Chefs
- taking inventory when needed
- discarding expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers
- performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized
- plating and presenting meal items as per the Chef’s instructions
- assist in Pastry section with preparation of dishes

Head of Reception
Leopard’s Leap Vineyards is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Reception to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- oversee daily reception operations and manage the front desk
- welcoming guests and provide detailed information about our offerings
- manage reservations
- address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
- ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times
Requirements:
- at least 2 years experience as Receptionist
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- presentable
- professional telephone etiquette
- computer literacy (excel, word and outlook)
- attention to detail
- organised and strong administration skills
- own transport

Leopard’s Leap Wines in the Franschhoek Valley requires an energetic, positive person with excellent communication and guest relations skills to add to the culinary and wine offering.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- prepare hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, teas and cocktails in accordance with standard recipes
- stock take
- placing orders with suppliers
- perform regular checks and basic maintenance on coffee machine to ensure it is functioning optimally
- clean work areas, utensils, and equipment regularly
- stay up to date with the latest trends in the food and beverage industry and adapt techniques accordingly
- provide a memorable customer experience, ensuring satisfaction through prompt service and a friendly demeanour

- 2 - 3 years’ proven experience as a Barista/Bartender
- professional Barista training will count in applicant’s favour
