Head Chef

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and skilled Head Chef to lead our dynamic kitchen team in the heart of the Franschhoek Valley.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation
  • develop and execute seasonal menus
  • manage kitchen staff scheduling, training, and performance
  • host and present at special events, cooking demonstrations, and client tastings
  • ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards
  • control food costs, wastage, and supplier relationships
  • collaborate with the Front of House and Marketing team to deliver an exceptional guest experience

Head of Reception

Leopard’s Leap Vineyards is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Reception to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • oversee daily reception operations and manage the front desk
  • welcoming guests and provide detailed information about our offerings
  • manage reservations
  • address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
  • collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times

Requirements:

  • at least 2 years experience as Receptionist
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • presentable
  • professional telephone etiquette
  • computer literacy (excel, word and outlook)
  • attention to detail
  • organised and strong administration skills
  • own transport
  • willingness to work weekends and public holidays

Storeman

Leopard’s Leap Vineyards in the Franschhoek Valley requires a vibrant person with an abundance of energy and enthusiasm to join the Marketing team as Storeman.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • receiving and issuing of wine stock, packaging and promotional material
  • organize and maintain the storeroom, ensuring stock is stored safely and efficiently
  • monitor stock levels and conduct regular inventory checks
  • stock administration
  • preparing and issuing of orders
  • general cleanliness and maintenance of storeroom and related areas
  • assistance with Marketing and Tasting Room related activities

  • grade 12
  • proven experience in a similar position
  • physically fit and able to lift/carry heavy items
  • a positive attitude with the ability to communicate efficiently with colleagues and guests

Head Winemaker

Leopard’s Leap Wines are looking for an experienced Head Winemaker to manage and coordinate wine production across partner cellars in the Western Cape.

The role focuses on blending excellence, quality control, and production coordination to ensuring every wine embodies Leopard’s Leap’s signature balance of consistency, approachability, and distinctive character.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • oversee wine sourcing, blending, and finishing at contracted cellars
  • develop and execute blending strategies aligned with brand objectives
  • coordinate bottling, wine movements, and production documentation
  • maintain strong relationships with cellar partners and suppliers
  • represent the brand at tastings and trade events
  • support innovation and development of new blends and styles

Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following:

  • degree in Oenology, Viticulture, or Wine Technology
  • minimum 5 years’ winemaking experience (multi-cellar exposure preferred)
  • strong technical, sensory, and organisational skills
  • excellent communicator who represents the brand with professionalism and authenticity
  • ability to work independently and travel as required
