South African Ploughman's Platter
Although the term Ploughman's Lunch calls up images of farm workers relaxing in the lunchtime shade for a platter of bread, cheese and cold meats, this term was actually created as part of a cheese marketing campaign. While the real origin kills some of the romance, there is no denying the delight of a Ploughman's Platter indicating the first half of the day's work to be concluded. With Worker's Day coming up, we've decided to give this traditional British combination, a South African makeover.

SA Ploughman's Platter for Two
Assemble the ingredients on a platter of your choice and serve with a glass of Leopard's Leap wine. We suggest the 2021 Leopard's Leap Unwooded Chardonnay and a more serious white wine like the versatile 2020 Culinaria Chenin Blanc will also work well with the variety of flavours on the platter.
60 ml pickled sultanas
100 g biltong pâté
60 ml sultana chutney
200 g curried boerewors, cooked
60 ml curry bokkom butter
