10TH ANNIVERSARY FUNDRAISER RAISES OVER R500, 000 FOR THE CAPE LEOPARD TRUST
On Saturday, 16th August, 200 people arrived at Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards in Franschhoek to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Cape Leopard Trust, and all with the full intention of raising as much money as possible for the trust on that day.
Opulent Living Experiences, headed up by Florian Gast and Barbara Lenhard, had coordinated a 3 course lunch featuring celebrity chefs from three renowned Cape Town restaurants, MCs, guest chefs in the form of Liezel van der Westhuizen and Braam Malherbe, entertainment by Blackbyrd and also a host of unique auction items that managed to raise a total of R591 712 (including the proceeds of the ticket sales) for this worthy cause.
“Leopard’s Leap has been a proud sponsor of the trust since its inception and we couldn’t be happier with how this event turned out. We look forward to seeing what a difference this amount of money will make to the trust and the endangered Cape Leopard,” said Hein Koegelenberg, CEO of Leopard’s Leap.
Other generous sponsors on the day were FNB, Mercedes Benz, Cennergi, and the celebrities there included MCs Ian and Elana Bredenkamp, and chefs Pieter de Jager (Leopard’s Leap), Neil Jewell (Môreson), and Vanessa Marx (Dear Me).
