Two of our wines – the Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2004 and The Lookout Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cinsaut 2005 – have recently been included in the 2007 edition of the highly-regarded Best Value Wine Guide published by Wine Magazine.
This is what the judges had to say:
Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot – Contains a 50/50 blend of the varieties on the label. Somehow the winemaker has managed to get a tremendous amount of berry fruit into the nose and flavour. Enjoyable now.
The Lookout Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cinsaut – Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Cinsaut selected from quality vineyards in Franschhoek and the Swartland. Ripe berries throughout, with an attractive smoky note. Supple tannins.
