REVIEW OF OUR ’09 SAUVIGNON BLANC BY MICHAEL OLIVER
I picked up this review of our Sauvignon Blanc 2009 from Michael Oliver, on the iMod blog. Here are some extracts from the review:
"THE PRICE: EXPECT TO PAY SOMEWHERE IN THE MID R30S
First Impression: Tropical grapefruit.
The Story: Leopard’s Leap started off a couple of years ago as a small production brand. Now it is flying off the shelves here and overseas. Big Big South African brand now.
The Taste: Fruity – of the tropical kind, nice crunchy ripe green melon and grapefruit. Fresh New World style of Sauvignon…
…The small print: Grapes from Villiersdorp [nice cool climate] and Durbanville. Extended lees contact to build middle palate flavour. 13.5% alcohol.
Sounds like a good bottle for the hot holiday season!"
