This weekend the winning town in the Rapport Kwêla Dorp van die Jaar competition has their ‘makietie’, or celebration. As part of their prize, Sabie, a small town nestled in the Drakensberg mountains in Mpumalanga, wins a day of celebration, with musical performers like Edo Adams and Juanita du Plessis, and a parade.
