SOUTH AFRICA AT THE LONDON BOOK FAIR
SOUTH AFRICA AT THE LONDON BOOK FAIR
Although the volcanic ash cloud over Europe left the majority of South African authors and publishers stranded in South Africa and unable to attend this year’s London Book Fair, a number of authors were at the fair having already been in Europe when the Icelandic volcano erupted. They flew the South African flag high at the book fair which had a special focus on South African literature. Along with them was Leopard’s Leap which was the official wine sponsor of the South African market focus at the book fair. Below are some of the South African authors (and Leopard's Leap wine) at the book fair.
Gillian Slovo
Isobel Dixon
Beverly Naidoo
Damon Galgut
