Although the volcanic ash cloud over Europe left the majority of South African authors and publishers stranded in South Africa and unable to attend this year’s London Book Fair, a number of authors were at the fair having already been in Europe when the Icelandic volcano erupted. They flew the South African flag high at the book fair which had a special focus on South African literature. Along with them was Leopard’s Leap which was the official wine sponsor of the South African market focus at the book fair.
