UNCORK AND LIGHT UP!

UNCORK AND LIGHT UP!

UNCORK AND LIGHT UP!

For the weekend of 24 and 25 September, Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards will be abuzz with corks popping and fires being lit. Not only will Saturday be a celebration of Heritage Day and National Braai Day but it is also the annual Franschhoek Uncorked Weekend!

Guests are invited to a fun-filled family-friendly weekend with an exciting food and wine experience as well as entertainment by the Mari Bosman Band, known for their “Afrikaans Rooiwyn Rock”!

While all guests with Franschhoek Uncorked passes will enjoy a complimentary tasting of three favourites from the Leopard’s Leap Classic Collection: the refreshing Leopard’s Leap Chenin Blanc, the charming Leopard’s Leap Chardonnay Pinot Noir and the elegant Leopard’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon, these wines will also be served in the form of innovative wine cocktails!

Shaking up all that is expected of a traditional wine tasting room, visitors can lounge on the wide stoep overlooking the beautiful Franschhoek landscape, while sipping on a sophisticated Chenin Blanc Martini, a fabulous Chardonnay Pinot Noir Cosmopolitan or a seductive Cabernet Sauvignon Square.

Soaking up all these delicious drinkables is the popular Leopard’s Leap Rotisserie lunch offering served from 11:30 to 15:00. Expect tender and juicy meats from the state of the art Rotisserie as well as an astonishing array of sides and salads from the seasonal Harvest Table.

Participating in the Franschhoek Valley #Braai4Heritage initiative, Chef Pieter will also add some traditional boerewors made with a special selection of spices and cooked in the ever-so-trendy Green Egg… as well as a pumped-up version of the all-time favourite braaibroodjie – filled with pork belly and fire-grilled on the Rotisserie.

Chef Pieter loves to braai and has even adapted his special braai spice into a Dukkah to be paired with the Leopard’s Leap Shiraz at the tasting room counter – it is not to be missed!

Motivated to stir up your everyday life? Choose from the whole range of Leopard’s Leap wine, a wonderful selection of cookbooks, nifty culinary tools and quirky accessories form the Leopard’s Leap Shop to take home with you!

An Uncorked Weekend Pass costs R140 per person, includes a wine tasting glass, free wine tastings and allows access to the participating farms.  Get them now from www.webtickets.co.za
