MOMTINI FOR MOTHER’S DAY
Quite a few cocktails are named after celebrities – from the David Bowie to the Joan Collins! (Read more) Are moms not more important than these artists and socialites we haven’t even met? Of course! Introducing a cocktail named after this special person – the Momtini! Happy Mother’s Day!
Momtini
Ingredients
60 ml gin
120 ml grapefruit juice
5 ml ginger-infused simple syrup
juice of half a lime
½ teaspoon fresh, grated ginger
2 star anise
Leopard’s Leap Sparkling
Method
Place all the ingredients, except the Sparkling, into a cocktail shaker. Shake well to combine and pour into a martini glass or other similar size cocktail glass.
Top up with the sparkling wine and serve.
