THE BEST OF 3 WORLDS… DARK CHOCOLATE, ESPRESSO, RED WINE
In August we often complain
that winter is becoming a pain
But there is plenty of reason
to enjoy the cold season
Chocolate, coffee and wine
will make you feel just fine!
If the coffee is espresso and the wine Cabernet
combine with dark chocolate and make your own day!
HOT Chocolate Recipe (click here to watch the recipe video!)
Serves 2
Ingredients
250 ml double cream
2 teaspoons corn starch
80 ml dark chocolate chips
60 ml Terbodore Espresso
60 ml Leopard’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon
Optional: Mini marshmallows for serving
Method
Add the cream and corn starch to a medium-sized pot. Whisk until the corn starch is dissolved. Add the chocolate chips and place over medium heat. Heat just until all the chocolate has melted and dissolved into the milk, stirring continuously (about 6-7 minutes). The heat may need to be reduced to low to keep the liquid from boiling. The liquid will be thick.
Remove the pot from the heat.
Slowly whisk in the espresso and wine.
Pour into espresso cups to serve.
Optional: Top each espresso cup with mini marshmallows.
