FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD!
At Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards we take food seriously. That does not mean that our food is serious. Our food is delicious, it is fresh, it is imaginative and it is fun!
And then there is an array of ways for you to experience food at Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards – no mediocre lunches or boring tea’s!
Rotisserie lunches
South Africans love to braai and every lunch at Leopard’s Leap bring you some of the deliciousness of a braai but in the form of a state of the art Rotisserie on which succulent pork bellies with the crispest of crackling, the juiciest chickens, the most flavoursome beef and the softest lamb are rotating. Pick your favourite with an accompanying sauce and indulge!
Harvest Table
But if you cannot live from meat alone, our Harvest Table gives plenty an option with its fresh salads, a variety of vegetable dishes, freshly baked breads and decadent pastas. With a lush herb and vegetable garden providing us with fresh ingredients daily, the harvest table offers a healthy seasonal menu that changes all the time.
For the Sweet Tooth
Pick your favourite from a delightful dessert buffet – from playful cupcakes and marshmallow cookies to gooey chocolate brownies, nutty tartlets and creamy cheesecakes, to name but a few.
Cheffing-it-up!
Enthusiastic home cooks are invited to a programme of cooking classes that has something for everyone. With seasonal topics, the programme covers a variety of cooking styles and food types, amongst others: cooking with curry, planning an inspirational festive menu, creating delicious, healthy options in tune with your new year’s resolutions, trying your own patés, parfaits and terrines for summer suppers or perfecting pastry.
Culinary wine
And of course, there is our wine! While the Leopard’s Leap Classic Collection and Lookout ranges offer cultivars and styles that will go with a variety of dishes, it is the Culinaria Collection of wines that were specifically designed to partner with food.
Try the Culinaria wines (available per glass) with your lunch or visit our website for a recipe specifically designed by various Franschhoek chefs to go with each of the wines.
Culinaria MCC Brut Sparkling Wine with Tuna Sashimi and Seaweed salad
Culinaria Chenin Blanc Grenache Blanc with West Coast Mussels and Café de Paris butter
Culinaria Pinot Noir Chardonnay with Lemon Polenta Cake
