Monkey Gland Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
2 Tblsp Olive oil
1 Sprig Fresh, rosemary
1 White onion, finely chopped
2 Garlic cloves, crushed
3 Tblsp Tomato paste
8 Fresh large tomatoes, grated
3 Tblsp Worcester sauce
250 ml Ms. Balls chutney
2 Tblsp Brown sugar
2 Tblsp White wine vinegar
Oryx desert salt to taste
Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Method
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and fry onion, rosemary and garlic until onions are translucent.
Cut fresh tomatoes in half and roughly grate using a box grater so that just the skin is left.
Add tomato paste and grated tomatoes to the pan and bring to a simmer.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes or until thick, then remove from the heat.
