Leopard’s Leap Culinaria Collection Méthode Cap Classique, a contemporary classic
Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards in Franschhoek, following on from the launch of their exquisite Culinaria Collection, the wine collection inspired by terroir-specific French styles and celebrating the age-old relationship between food and wine; has launched their latest non-vintage Méthode Cap Classique Champagne-style sparkling wine.
This wine is a taste-bud tingling blend of Chardonnay (59%), Pinot Noir (29%), and Pinot Meunier (12%), with the majority of the grapes used originating from the Franschhoek Valley.
“This Méthode Cap Classique can be labeled as a contemporary classic. Classic in the sense that it was made in the traditional method, méthode champenoise, yet contemporary seeing that it presents a unique flavour bouquet of red berry fruit such as cranberry, as well as kiwi fruit and brioche,” says Eugene van Zyl, Leopard’s Leap’s cellarmaster.
“The Culinaria Collection was created to show our appreciation for great food and wonderful wine, and this Méthode Cap Classique is a proud symbol of this,” says Hein Koegelenberg, CEO of Leopard’s Leap.
The quality of Culinaria Collection wines has already been acknowledged with the following medals:
- 2012 Culinaria Chenin Blanc Grenache Blanc – International Wine Challenge Gold award
- 2010 Culinaria Grand Vin –Silver award at Mundus Vini
The Culinaria Collection Méthode Cap Classique is exclusively available from Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards at R95 per bottle.
